I’ve been getting a lot of questions about just how over the top I’ve been going on my off day on the Slow Carb Diet. A lot of people seem to think you can’t go too overboard or you’ll ruin all the progress. In my experience, that’s not true at all. Check out the smorgasbord of fattening crap food I inhaled on Super Bowl Sunday if you don’t believe me.
Breakfast
Oh yeah, starting the day out right! Homemade chocolate chip waffles with maple sausage on the side. Yep, it tasted just as good as it looks.
Lunch
I was pretty stuffed from breakfast, so I didn’t eat a whole lot during lunch. Some leftover quesadillas from my family’s dinner the night before, a few potato chips, etc. I didn’t eat much, but I can say that what I did eat wasn’t Slow Carb friendly!
Pre-Game
Taco dip and tostadas. Five layers of deliciousness & my fix of crunchy, salty goodness.
Dinner
Beggar’s deep dish pizza with sausage and pepperoni. I ended up having about two slices of this. Trust me, that’s a LOT of food.
Dessert
Right, because I hadn’t already gorged on enough high calorie junk food already. For the grand finale, I went with Edy’s Mint Brownie flavored ice cream. Always a solid choice.
I grazed on some other junk throughout the rest of day and had a couple beers while we watched the game. Overall, this was one of my most gluttonous days off during the diet, but still in line with how I’ve eaten on other days off. Am I afraid that I went and destroyed all of my hard work from the six days leading up to my day off? Not really. If you want to know for sure, check out my update later this week when I weigh in again on Saturday.

That pizza looks amazing. I need to make it back to Chicago sometime! I always enjoy Giordano’s for some Chicago-style pizza.
